Hey MTG, buddy KMD has been decent and fair so far in the dealings here. There is no problem yet from him here. i know how you feel regarding no response etc...but rest assured your money is safe.
Amarbir, i have never dealt with him so far. hence cannot comment.

Media.home.in: Again good professional guy. no problems with him so far.

regarding that predatorvj guy read this http://www.techenclave.com/1063154-post37.html

KMD is the last person on this forum you need to worry about ripping you off. Heard he's outta town and was supposed to be back on Monday. A little patience would be in order. Rest assured, you'll get your stuff.

MTG... mate.. you will not be disappointed by KMD... That's a surety.... Wait it out for 1-2 days... he will get back to you...

Since no one has spoken for Amarbir, let me tell you something.

He does overpromise a bit, specially when it comes to stocking as he depends on distributors to stock what he promises on his front end. So, sometimes a product shown as in stock will actually not be, and this can be a source of annoyance.

That aprt, he is very helpful and in my experience, very honest and straightforward. He did issue me a refund on a pain point, some fans I ordered were never in stock, and never did appear again in stock. The poor man tried to palm off some other fans in lieu, but I pushed him a bit and he cancelled the balance order and refunded the money.

All sellers have their issues, no on is clean. On the whole though, I've not suffered more than some delays and in one case, a exorbitantly high price for a case that was simply not available anywhere in the country when I needed it. I still bought it, though. Never got 'cheated' in the way you think.

I've dealt with KMD about 5 times. Always came through, never an issue. Maybe you just need to relax a bit. I understand your concern, but he's above board and has been around for a really long time.

Chill.

A short review for both of them. may not be same with others but writing about them and experiences.

Ive deal with Amarbir 3-4 times in since last year. very good person, extremely busy, answers all my questions on phone and online and delivers in max 2-3 days time..

Good person which offers good products.

some products i bought from Amarbir:

AMD X4 9550 - 2 days delivery

WD 640GB - 3 days delivery

PSP accessories- 5, 6 of them - a weeks time for delivery

CPU cooler etc. - more than a week time for delivery

I used NEFT for transaction for all above.

From KMD:

GTX 260 216cores EVGA - almost a month for delivery (Used neft)

Modding accessories - 8 days (purchased somewhere in feb 2008) (All C.O.D)

At that time (feb 2008) he was quick and i also had KMD's cell phone No. and he used to pickup all my calls during last February and was quick delivery

I agree.

but sangram bro what the dealer (any) or seller (any) should realise is that the potential buyer has many other plans and ideas depending upon the item purchased.

for e.g. suppose a member decides to make a kick ass gaming rig. so he does his homework here and decides and short lists the items he wants to purchase. suppose he decides on a particular gfx card for e.g. and that card requires a very high capacity psu and cooling system. now he talks to a dealer / seller and finalises a deal. The dealer / seller promises him delivery within 3 days. do after he makes the payment to the dealer / seller and thinking that his gfx card is surely being delivered in the next 3 ~4 days he goes ahead and buys the psu and cooling and associated stuff by spending a lot of time, money and effort.

now the dealer / seller informs him after 3 ~4 days that he does not have that gfx card in stock and can arrange for it but it will take a month or so for delivery. mind you this is after receiving money from the buyer. alternatively he agrees to refund the money.

now imagine the situation of the buyer member:huh: , as he feels badly let down. further imagine that during his quest to source the gfx card from another source, ATI / Nvidia announce another range of cards which are better performing and consume less power.

so imagine the frustration of the buyer member since the psu he has spent on is not really needed for the newer cards as well cooling systems etc....you can imagine his frustrations.

For the dealer it was a simple thing since he refunded the money and he feels his job is over but the buyer member is now busy selling his newly bought stuff at a great discount, hence he suffers not only monetarily but spiritually too.

This the dealer / seller should always remember. they should be honest , truthful, and give correct info. to the buyer.

a promise is a promise , a commitment is a commitment and the dealer / seller should stick to it even if the dealer / seller suffers financially because of it. imho.

Sadly this does not happen in many cases.

But still I dont know why this online sales sites in India list unavailable products in their websites. They list almost all products, but they cant even source them. I had many bad experiences with many sites in india.

Some sites not even updating the prices in their websites. They just list products that are not even produced now. If they cant source the product, they should not diaplay, isnt it?

I must admit that I was quite impressed by the sincerity of Amarbir Sir. I recently bought and Asus Xonar from him. I was quite apprehensive at first since I am a new member(with only 1 rating) and that was my first purchase online. But then,he was quite supportive throughout and the deal was flawless as ever.:hap2:

Just to clarify, predatorvj is NOT a Registered Dealer on TE.

We are aware of the 'sub dealers' (as you put it) lurking around TE.. however it is ultimately upto you guys to be careful when participating in such back-end deals.

Lynx India: Second Experience

As everyone has already said, I guess a bit of patience is due. 500 is hardly something anyone would want to risk their reputation over.

Also - not defending Amarbir or anything - those two complaints you've listed are made by the exact same person under two different names. Why anyone would stoop to making duplicate IDs is beyond me.

Shushubh's blog post is a slightly different issue - hardly what you would call fraud - but something a lot of people complain about here as well.

@Amarbir: Please take this as constructive criticism and take your online activities a bit more seriously or atleast get someone to help you with it. Your online arm may not be as bustling as your regular store, but there's really no reason to be disinterested in it.. a wrong attitude like that is a sure-fire way to ruin your online biz ;)

On a funny note, it was a bit hilarious to read one of the comments on the complaint registry by a gentleman who bought 500 shares of Lynx India (another Kolkatta based firm) and mistook it for Amarbir's company
