Forum Feedback Why TE skin is changed every week :(

I am really disappointed with Admin changing the theme of TE on regular basis, this is really a pain to mind as well as eyes.

When i started @ TE @ Feb 2012.. it has the sexiest IPB THEME I Had ever seen.. and i was also astonished to see how they migrated from VB to IPB..

I just want to say, please do change skin, upgrade features > ok
upgrade functionalities > ok.. but dont change skin

Plz if possible retain the skin of Feb 2012.. and try to keep a single skin for atleast 3-4 yr span...

IPB is not SEO friendly thats why we moved back to VB.

IPB theme was for IPB hence that wont work on VB.

We shall be stable now for sometime and Skins should change one a year. Change is mandatory.

Well, I am on TE since almost 5 years. TE look has been changed only for 2-3 times. The reason we have seen lots of changes this year is because the staff decided to move to IPB because it has some great add-ons and beautiful templates. Later they found out, IPB is not SEO friendly at all. They could not trade the popularity of forum with interface and features. Hence, they decided to move back to vBulletin which has very good SEO capabilities.

Now, TE forum software is updated to vB

4.2.0. I don't know the exact reason but I guess the modifications done on a default theme of the version before this update is either not compatible with 4.2.0 or they might have to do the modifications again which is a painful and lengthy process. That's why they looked for new theme (Ideal) which is great looking to be honest


There won't be a lot of changes in theme / look of TE I guess. Although, frequent changes are annoying sometimes, changes are mandatory.​
