Hi to all,

I am facing a problem and want to know what might be the reason. On my new monitor, I am playing UT 2004 at 1680x1050. The thing is i am getting smooth game, FPS of 40 to 60 all the time. But i just cant aim (specially at players far away). I am talking about single player game, so no network issues. The thing is the game play is really jumpy, I mean jittery kind. When i move left or right, it skips several inches and it just sucks.

On the same rig when i played on old monitor at 1280x960 it was perfect. Also now on this monitor i use 1280x1024 and with centered output, aiming is again perfect.

Now only thing i can think of is the mouse with a low DPI (i have a normal logitech optical mouse). Now before I actually buy a g5 or something plesae tell me is that the issue or there might be something else. My Config is in my Signature. Please Help me, as i dont want to buy a g5 or 518 and then still face the same problem. :(

Thanks

LOL .... that i don't know. But it works fine. No FPS probs like i said. Just that it skips areas. No idea. But suppose it was a 8800gtx. then if i used a normal mouse at very high resolution. Then will this problem be there ?????

^^ No there wont be the same problem.... You are getting this as 6200 doesnt support that resolution.... meaning even if you get it working at a higher resolution there is no guarantee there wont be fishy things like u are facing. My suggestion is to upgrade the rig or at least the graphic card.

thanks for telling me.But upgrading the graphics card is not possible right now as the mobo only has an AGP slot :(. So I am planning a massive upgrde in june/july. Just one final thing. Should I go in for G5 or other gaming mouse or is it just in the mind thing. That is, is there a noticeable difference between gaming mouse and the normal optical one that i use (the one for 350 bucks, logitech white one)

^^ ofcourse there is a difference in gaming mouse and our normal optical mouse which we get for 350-500 bucks..

but u dont even need to buy a very very high end gaming mouse used by pros unless u really feel the need and have the moolah .

a simple gaming mouse which is not very expensive i think will suffice and also make a difference while gaming
