Maybe, but want to bet they find it difficult? There are economies of scale involved, as also the fact that Nintendo probably has patented some of the stuff that makes it extra special.

I took the wrist strap off for my first game of Tennis because I thought it was dumb and would just get in the way. The thing flew out of my hands and hit the ceiling about 10 feet away! Then I tripped on GameCube cords while retrieving it.

My wiimotes have rubber skins for grip and stronger wrist straps just to avoid such an accedent, but I use a projector so I'd be throwing wiimotes through the wall.

How can you let go of the remote anyway? I mean you don't just let go of your racquet when playing.. tennis or something.

but why are his hands sweaty enough to the point where he can't keep his grip on the remote

ROFL!

These Wii accidents tell me we're going to need a Wii (read: wee :P) bit more space to play without injuring your opponent or breaking anything in the house

Wii all the way man, I hope Santa hears me :D

^actually i read that you don't really need exaggerated movements like what is shown in the ads. i strongly feel these guys may have overdone it. how fast would you have to be swinging to actually make a hole in your tv? :O

it must have been as fast as he would bowl the bowling ball :P thats why tv is broken...............lol

Thats Wiimote for you, it imitates real world movements from the user to control the game.

There should be a clear message on the retail box that reads: Please wear your Wii belts (straps)

^^It's for these kind of people that companies issue dumb warnings. The Japanese GameCube came with this warning in the manual: Do not attempt to stick head inside deck, which may result in injury.

Woh that looks like some uber fun, wish I had one of those. Long time since even I longed for a console, hehe Sony and M$ pwned by original king.. Its abt time these gaming companies realise thats its the gameplay that matters and not just gfx alone...

Hey have any of you guys played with the Eye-Toy for the PS2 ??? Man that is some fun.. Shucks, I can only Imagine what uber fun the Wii would be..

Ah yes, Eye-Toy for the ps2. One of the most underrated and underlooked console peripherals of all time, now THAT was innovation of its time, sort of still is.
