AS per my signature , adding more 8gb will help me in performance :/

Imostly use after effect recently and that also on windows 7 64bits .

so like markets are lower is it good to add more 8gb to my rig which can increase my performance in after effect ????

Iread on net that more ram helps more than the gpu in after effect .

if to buy , which ram shall Ibuy ?????
for performance ????

available in mumbai ??????

^^ You'll see a decent up-rate in most of your works, in-fact most of such editing / compositing softwares you'll notice a good jump in performance with more RAM, I've used Autodesk Combustion / Toxik on a MAC-Pro [2GB DDR II @667 MHz] and standard Windows PC [6GB DDR III @1333 MHz] and can vouch for its efficacy.

Get any RAM with speeds upwards of 1600 MHz then tighten the RAM latency / RAS-CAS latency [you'll be more knowledgeable on the same as you are into over-clocking]. Hope this helps. Some more articles on the same -- RAM and Latency - What you Need to Know / RAM Timing Explained - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net / G.Skill DDR3 PC3-16000 Triple Channel memory review.

Hope this helps Sire, happy RAM hunting.

HAVE RIPJAWS CL9
and as the itwares have the sipner edition cl9
for rs. 3450 , will it work with more effective on my rig ???

^^ I don't think there is a revolutionary amount of difference between the RIPJAWS / RIPJAWS X and SNIPER dual-channel memory modules, all are the SAM RAM keys with different shapes of heat-spreaders and shrouds slapped onto them.

So best will be if you get the standard RIPJAWS 1600 MHz CL-9 rated RAM modules. Cheers, bruv.

8 gb ram kit needed and so querys on that :)

Freinds today i am in need to upgrade the rig with some extra ram power as i am using some applications like after effects and all and so thought of having a additional 8 gb kit which can help me out :)

i am all ready have 2*2gb ripjaws and so want ram which may support it side by side :)

recently ram prices have fallen like hell a lot and so also want to know that is this the right time to upgrade the ram or shall i wait for a little more :/

and the most important thing that what option do i have if i want to buy the 8 gb kit ????

i know i have choices like

G-SKILL RIPJAWS- X
G-SKILL SPINER EDITION
CORSAIR Vengeance

all are between Rs.3300 to Rs.3500 :ohyeah: for 8gb but which one to choose ???

right now my ripjaws are running on 1836mhz on stock volt and time :)

so which one will be a good choice and what is the best i can get ???

waiting for reply's :)

planning to buy it from mumbai :D

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE :)

Go for the G.Skill RIPJAWS -X OR standard RIPJAWS, the under-volted G.Skill SNIPER's [they come in two flavors 1.25 v OR 1.5v] don't over-clock well. Getting any of the G.Skill RAMs will show you a decent upswing in Adobe After Effects / Nuke / Autodesk Toxik / Autodesk MAY [especially if you go into heavy particle based effects / animation / models] and associated RAM hungry applications.

I've no experience of the Corsair Vengeance so no comments but I find the Corsair XMS3 / Dominator kits upto the task as well in most scenarios [most of my colleagues have the XMS3 4GB x 2 @1600MHz CL-9 in their builds], I personally use 2 x 2GB modules of RIPJAWS rated @1333 MHz CL-9 + 1 x 2GB RIPJAWS @1600MHz CL-9. So can vouch for their performance.

Sunny27 Sir has done a good article on the G.Skill SNIPERS -- http://www.techenclave.com/reviews-and-previews/gskill-sniper-f3-12800cl9d-8gbsr2-2x4gb-196736.html.

Hope this helps, Sire.
