will the cm extreme power be able to handle the following config.???

asus rampage 2 extreme
i7
3 HDD
1 DVD
9800gtx

yes if nothing is overclocked. Extreme series dont come with safety features that is recommended for a costly rig. But its ur choice.

How? Is? It? Possible? :-

...That you own/are considering buying those components, and yet choose a CM EP 600W as the PSU???

I'd recommend atleast a VX450/GP AL650AA for something like the above setup.
Please provide some details, do you already own this rig?

CM Real power pro also comes for about similar price so why compromise. It is batter than Extreme Power 600.But for your rig Corsair VX 450 will be best.

i was thinking about the same thing

i am not gonna oc ne component for a long time

i am getting a new cabby right now

after tht i will get the vx450

i do not own this now

but 99% will get it

how is the cm real power 550w ???

will it do ?

Corei7 + Rampage 2 extreme with CM600ext its a neck to neck dont take high risk !! as u r using 9800GTX VX450 is good but , it can perform raw power to 530watts

Using corei7 u cannot overclock with VX450 get , try to TX650 & above for ur safety !!

^^wats the current pricing of TX650 and HX650 now? any change in price?...u brought ur TX650 recently, nah??

^^nope...the CM hav higher noise level than VX450...and the VX450 can deliver upto 530W at full load with higher efficiency than CM RP 550W. But IMO get a GlacialPower GP-AL650AA or Antec EA 650W SLi by spending a little more than the VX450 or the CM RP 550W, they are worth the price u r paying for a rig like yours.

CM realpower series are silent but corsair PSU's are usually underrated:) they can deliver upto 100w~200w(tx 750 can deliver 900w max) maximum output than mentioned on the label.

If both PSU are priced similarly take corsair.
