Market Feedback Will I be getting my money back?

And i believe this is the TE market feedback section and i assume i can post my feedback here.

You certainly can and this section is precisely meant for that. Just had to mention that the 5 posts criteria isn't a crude way of measuring a member's trust on the Market sections. More so because the initial posts are not moderated either so any member could spam for the initial posts.

Guys am not active user but am a oldie, i just wana tell my opinion TE market was very easy to navigate before migration now it has become clumpsy so difficult to keep up with..but i still love TE coz they are well managed over here..i think its time for the staffs to decide on regulating the market section a bit because am recently seeing many cases like this..you can also make moderator approval of opening a thread in the market section after they fulfilling the rules..correct me if am wrong!!And as far as this case seller seems to be old joined in 2009..may be op should wait atleast 2or3 days for his reply before coming into conclusion.!!

+1 #Ganesh
#Gannu completely agree with you that no of posts cannot measure the members' trust worthiness. But this would be nice if we could moderate trade threads. This can be further modified like moderate only sale threads of members who have less than 'n' +ve trades or who are new to the forum. This way it will also ensure that all sale threads are created as per the forums mandatory rules.

what exactly do you mean by moderate ? , the moderators can only ensure that he has posted pics as per rule . Checking the user is genuine etc etc is all upto the buyer .... And despite that still you get conked off , there is always a small percentage of risk factor involved when dealing on forums we gotta live with it.

Please stick to the topic here, if any of you want to give feedback on the way the market works please open a new thread and discuss there. I can move all the posts on that topic in this thread there.

Could you check if you can get a replacement?

What the service center implied was, the sticker with the serial number and bar code shouldn't be tampered with. There's no way they can cross-check the warranty of the stick then.

I spoke with Transcend replacement guy in Mumbai ( Tardeo )
He said there must be nothing written on ram or else they won't honor warranty.

Many times these computer shop owners write down with permanent marker pen on the RAM stick before they install the RAM into system. So how come they can replace the end users RAM ?

Its an online deal, I paid him money firstly believing and trusting this site and second comes trust on dealer. Its an online world where dealers and buyers are in different state, How can you verify one's honesty? All you can look at is iTrust score and some feedbacks? Those sellers go missing too? What now?

I'm not shop owner or dealer, This is the first time I called them, If I were a guy who keeps in touch with them, I sure would find a way.

I got ram delivered on Last Thursday. Its been 7 days. Guys had guts to come and check his account daily. Banning him is next? Go ahead ban him, He'll make another account and scam someone else. Bottom line, I lost my money on this portal. I paid cause I though buying from here would be reliable. There will be no next time here.

This forum is weird, instead of keeping the dispute thread open to public where the victim asks for public support, it should be private between the buyer, seller and the staff.

Unless there is some valuable information that can help the feedback about the buyer/seller/item/dispute, merely posting on the feedback threads for the heck of posting does not help the cause in anyway. Which is why we had that announcement done.

Posts like these (which are pretty much obvious) does not help the OP in any way:

1 - You get over it/forget it
OR
2 - Keep ranting thinking it'll change (it won't tho)
This is India, where the honest man's bum is fried for speaking truth and the liar walks with pride.
And please read the forum rules mate, they clearly say that mods/admins are not responsible for deals gone sour, they can help you to some extent but do not guarantee that you'll get the money back, don't blame the portal just because a j3rk scammed you.

^ That is not done.

Such cases should be openly discussed as its a community we got here. If some dispute has come up, people should be allowed to present the views. Mods are not trained dispute resolving people. A general consensus will always help in getting to a better decision.
I agree that trolls will come up and might peddle loads of BS, but the unrelated or unimportant posts can always be pruned.

The discussion shouldnt be curtailed just cuz other members are not involved.

I have replied in concerned thread. PM ed the buyer. This happened due to myself not accessing the forums recently. Sorry for the trouble everybody had to take. I had followed this till buyer received the product. He also had my cell as well as home no, so I was sure he would call me in case of any problem as I had called him from both the numbers and received a one on my cell from his cell (Which I couldn't attend due being in traffic). I had talked to him prior to despatch (actually right from the courier office) and Smsed him awb no. twice after the despatch (I wouldn't do all this if I had any intention of cheating). I fail to understand the reasons why he couldn't call me! He should also have tried my home LL from which I had called him. Anyways if item sold is not working on arrival, I will happily take it back. That is why I had provided testing warranty. He also has option of getting it replaced fron transcend if he wants, otherwise he has my address, cell no, LL no etc.

I also assure everybody, the item was working fine till despatch. I had not sent a dead item.

I am again sorry to all my fellow members who have been helpfull to me on this forum. This community has been amzing and I wouldn't dare cheat here. I accept my mistake of being absent here after sale ( Though I was sure vuyer coukd cimtact me in my cell and home no). Apologies to all.

About About myself logging in regularly, It would be my tapatalk application logging in to the forum when connected to internet, Which sadly failed to notify me regarding various PMs.

I asked him for PoP, He said he hasn't got one, Mentioned in his thread too.
Do you want me to post his address given?

This RAm was purchased here http://www.techenclave.com/sell-trade-products/transcend-1gb-ddr2-667-ram-123988/
As you can see, It did not came with Invoice.

Spoke with Transcend replacement center, They said ram needs to be clean and nothing should be written on it.
This guy has written something on it, Not sure if i'll get warranty.

I did not write anything on it.

1 - He intentionally did it to eat candies worth 500 bucks (Pretty cheap price tag for someone, shame)
OR
2 - You missed reading the entire thread (as said by vivek krishnan he needed to RMA it?)

I'm pretty sure you have his phone number, give him a call an check?
Also in future, deal with reputed members who have a good feedback, that way you have backup in hand :)

Edit,
Just found the sales thread which is here - http://www.techenclave.com/sell-trade-products/1-gb-transcend-ddr2-667-a-132976/
Why not take the benefit of the lifetime warranty (as claimed by the seller?)

1. Cheap price tag? thats a cheap shot dude.
2. You should read carefully, Vivek is talking about seagate HDD. This HDD which I bought here, received it faulty and got RMAed by myself.

I still wonder how do newbies trade on TE like this http://www.techenclave.com/sell-trade-products/intel-based-rig-components-misc-134095/
even when the thread description says that you need a minimum of 5 post to start a thread

So is it a bug or the rules were redefined after the TE upgrade??

This should not applied to me. As you would check my profile, you would find I am an fairly old member and have traded here quite often with no dispute till date.

Have patience and wait a bit longer. May be he was in a hurry and couldn't check the notifications?

Wait for a week atleast, How many days has it been since you contacted the seller about this issue?
Even if there was no testing warranty provided, pranayjd is entitled to a full refund as the product was DOA.
About the next logical step, as I said in my PM to pranayjd, if there is no response from Kevin Lane even after a reasonable amount of time, pranayjd can try to track the seller down with the help of the members here and possibly get his money back. Also, we will blacklist Kevin Lane.

I also hope Pranay had a little more patience as He pmed the mods immediately before getting an answer from seller and He started this thread in 4 days flat. Having said that, I would also be concerned.

I can assure you, he had tried calling you on multiple occasions, right from the time he realized the product wasn't working. Since I was the one who recommended your deal to him, I felt partially responsible for what happened. We even tried the RAM at my place and it didn't work. Think about it, why wouldn't he call you? or any sane person who has a faulty product lying with him call up the seller? From what I understand, he primarily tried your mobile phone number, which he mentioned used to come up as "wrong number". I'm not aware of any land-line number mentioned during his conversations, so I wouldn't be able to comment on that. I advised him to keep trying your number, as that's all I could suggest, as none of your PM's and tags were yielding any response. I hope you can get in touch with him and sort this out amicably. Try to understand his frustration of having to pay for a product which failed to work on arrival and getting no response from the other end. If you were in his position, what would you have done?

Well I hope you folks can sort it out amongst each other now and thanks spacey for emailing him. :)

It is unfortunate pranay could not get through to me. But, As I have said earlier, He can ship it back, give me his bank details and U will reimburse the money on receipt of RAM. Hope this clears everything.

I just called him up and informed him about the same. Could you call him once and have a word with him as well?

Alright, I'll give you my bank details and once I receive money, I'll ship ram that instance.

I've sent him my payment details.
