Don't want to hijack this thread, but have been looking at Snapdragon Elite series ARM coz it's the future, until X86 can really match it. But none have the in-house architecture, like Apple, which gives them the edge. Others will always end up catching up to Apple on terms of performance no matter whatever tags they put.
As stated, disappointed with the step-motherly treatment by snapdragon by releasing only few models. Maybe they themselves not sure how it performs and PR can go only so far. I was looking for some cheaper Elite processors, but there's only one for now. And the cost is just too much. Maybe economies of scale could bring it down, but the time gap will be there.
That's the biggest problem with Windows on ARM.Microsoft: Brings major technological shift and quickly loses interest, lets Apple or other company go through. They did this with Windows Phone and doing this with WoA. They suddently seem to lose interest in pushing the marketing and shoving it down everyone's throat.

As long as you keep in mind that its a different OS.I'm willing to learn. But that time I spend has to count for something. That's what I want to see.
This is what I do with my Windows PC too. I restart it only when I get an update and that update has timed out.Open lid and resume. the time between reboots/shutdown should normally be in months and not days , let alone daily
Yup. I do the same thing on Windows thanks to PowerToys.2) spotlight (cmd + space) is your best friend. its not the same as windows start search.
So far, good. Haven't started hating it yet. Many shortcuts seem natural, especially related to virtual desktops. The placement of the command key is ergonomic.Certain things will stump you in the first few months here- google foo will almost always get you out.
Similarly The shortcuts as you can imagine are very different. It will take you some time to get used to them
Welcome to the world of Apple. Wait till you start playing with the terminal.I have officially macboarded.
The battery life is insane. We have no electricity since I woke up but was able to set it up, including my apps, with hardly any battery drain. I'm productive within half an hour.
The display is great. The sound is not only wonderful but is surrounding. I can type with fewer typos compared to my Keychron mechanical keyboard.
This is due to the quality of trackpad on Macs. I have both Dell Latitude and MBP. I absolutely hate using trackpad on Dell. It is not accurate and not smooth. With MBP trackpad, it is so precise and smooth that I can live without a mouse (but still prefer using MX master over trackpad). Difference is lot more pronounced when you are selecting text.Check this video. This person has the cursor-movement accuracy of a mouse, but when he stops using the mouse, there's zero delay before he starts typing. That makes me think that there's no mouse, and he's just good at using a trackpad. What do you think?
