Will Metro 2033/F.E.A.R 3 run on GTX 260 Core 216?

A big lol after seeing that my pc passed at systemrequirements lab for both minimum and recommended hardware for Metro 2033 but did not pass recommended hardware list for F.E.A.R. 3

It is weird. Both on Dx10, maxed out. 1080pi

F.E.A.R. : 43-44 FPS

METRO 2033 : 50-55FPS

The OP cannot probably play this game smoothly. Unless the resolution is toned down.
 
Both these games run fine on my HD 5770 at 1920x1080 resolution, therefore you shouldn't have any trouble with a GTX 260.
 
1366x768 is not a great resolution but my Lappy plays F3AR with everything maxxed out.. gives 25-30 FPS

So, GTX 260 can churnt out same frames in more higher resolution..

Post the pics and Graphics details in Metro 2033 and F3AR game.
 
Metro 2033 was a game which i was avoiding. On all maxed + DX 11 + PHYSX on, Metro 2033 gives me around 45 fps @ 1366*768

I connected it to my 32" TV, played with my 360 controller, the game looks BRILLIANT. Still need to complete it though. And not a huge fan of zombie killing :P
 
Ok guyz, I played the game today morning for 15 minutes max. The game automatically was set to 1600*900 resolution. At that resolution, the gameplay was smooth with 4AA and almost everything at normal settings. The gfx dint look bad and it was quite playable.

But my main problem is that my GTX 260 temps rose up to 81C within 15 minutes. Is it safe to play at 81C? Also, I will try to higher the fan speed to put the temps down, its only 44% now.

Will full 100% fan speed lower the fan's lifespan?
 
That GPU temperature is all right. They can handle it. You can ramp up the fan RPMs to max and play. No issue with life span.

Basically just play and enjoy. If there is over heat the card will stall,crash,BSOD, and artifact. You can verify after that. You have a good accelerator. Why worry. It is not that you are OC'ing or anything right.

Game hard.
