Hey guyz my system config is rite below here in. I will be upgrading in jannext year or soo ... !! And will be buying a new mobo with crossfire support and a 4890 to be crossfired with my current 4850.

This is the psu i am going for today. Products - Pro Series, Power Supplies, Computer Cabinets, Keyboards, Mouses, Speakers, Web Cameras, Jet, Hawk, Shivaji, Antibiotic . It shows triple 12v rail with 24 amp on each. Just wondering can it erally be 24 on each., so that makes up to 72amp. Can it be??

Also when i crossfire the two card will the psu be enough.

Please let me knw the answers quickly as i have to buy this today and will leave my house at 10am today.

Am getting this PSU for 2650/2700

Thnx in advance !!

it gives 48A combined on +12 . ( 576 / 12v )

i think it should be enough , 2.7k is good vfm.

but crossfire of 4890 with 4850 will be waste , at that time sell off the 4850 and buy 5850 which will perform better than 4890 + 4850 .

THnx bro ... i was thinkin that tooo .. but i really wanted to try crossfire .. but done that before . But thats a long wsy rite now. Atleast for tomm i knw 4 sure nw wt i will be buying ... Zebby Pro 600.

Thnx !

so u dcded to buy zeby pro 600ryt...congo man...tel me ur opinion about d psu as i am goin to get one...

Get the Corsair cx400 - 3k - 5 yrs warranty.... Eyes closed for current config.

If you are upgrading the mobo and gfx then i would suggest you atleast get the Corsair VX450 - 4k.

Dont buy a cheap one now and then uyou will have to again buy a new one in jan as this would be inaequate. I think others will agree with me on this.

Also get the 5850 as mentioned it will b a much better option.

Corsair cx400 has 3 years warrantee. For OP HX620 VX550 would be better as it is more future proof.

is it possible to Xfire 4890 & 4850??

coz in SLI you can't do that.

anyways my PSU recommendation CM Extreme 600W.

^^ i will , let me go there today and i will give u d add.

Anwyaz guyz i have to buy ssomething for my 4850 . my local 400watt zebby aint gud enough. SO am going for a zebby 600watt pro.

C ya all !

Soory people u were rite. Zebby pro is for 3550. I bought Zebby pro 550watt for 2650. Let me g card arive on monday/tuesday and i will update abt the quality on this PSU.

Thnx .. i could also have gotten cooler master 500 extreme power for 2800. But decided t i stick with zebby 550 pro. Lets c how gud it really is when get my g card back !

Which gcard are you mentioning? 4850 or 4890? Or both in CF ?

btw im a happy pro 550 user. :D

shud be enough for the 4890 or 4850, but dun take chance on CF, as it ll need 3* 6pin power connectors, and it comes with only one and you ll have to use two converters.

@Dominator

Brother u also using zebby PRO 550 .. howz this PSU .. how long have u been using it and what g card u using .. is it worth the price ???

the config as in my siggy.

Its running really cool, and always felt like same as the room temperature when touch, even after long gaming section. It has Yate loon fan @ 800~2200rpm.

Its an HEC OEM and said to be 80+ % efficient. Havnt seen any solid review proving it, but i personally felt this PSU quiet good, and excellent vfm for its price. HEC is a reputed brand, and just the name Zebronics cant make it a bad one, coz its not them who is making it :D

I was wondering if I should post here or not .. didn't wanna break Ur heart as U just bought the zebby pro 550. Then I thought its atleast better to warn U abt the danger to Ur GPU/s.

Zebby PRO 550W has (20+20) 396W ~ 33A on the 12V rails.

A single 4850 sucks upto 147W i.e. 12Amps ... n 2 of em can take upto 25.5Amps .. n then if U ve a quad core based PC, U need another 30Amps for an i7 based rig n atleast 20amps for a normal Q6600 based rig. Even if U ve a rig based on an E7200 n 2 GB RAM, U need over 10Amps. U do the maths considering the zebby pro 550 is not even 80 plus certified :cool2:

I advise U against Crossfiring, till U get a 80plus certified PSU with over 45Amps on the 12V rail. The Glacial Power GA650AA has 46Amps on the 12V rail and is 80plus certified and costs abt 4.7K !!!

Going for a Xfired rig without having the proper juice to power it is like using *12 anne ka masala with 4 aane ki murgi* .. yeah, PSU is the murgi .. not the GPUs

don worry tc...for now 550pro is more than enough...my friend running unlockd 550be at 4ghz +4870oc at 830mhz core+a half a dozen fans....so it wont be a problem

no but someone else gave me a gud advise.. y not go for 5870 or 5850 later on . i will sell this 4850 on jan and buy 5870-5850 sumthin ! How ever for now i guess its more than enough !!
