Will this micro sim adapter work with ipad sim ?

I am gonna use it my datacard(bsnl 7.2 Mbps model)...will that adapter work on this datacard....which adapter you guys use? if available on ebay pls give the link thanks .

^ The thickness seems to be an issue. I read some other user complaining about it not fitting the sim holder due to the thickness. You can try inserting the micro sim as it is, might take a few tries to get it properly aligned though.

to be honest , I did ordered such in 1 piece .

it is thick & won't fit in our Teracomm thing.

due to my over excitement , I putted it in & without even checking it's fitting proper or not ..... I just pushed it in my Teracom datacard ........bingo , it got stuck .

then I took my calculator screw kit's 2 thin edges to take out of it :rofl:

then I made my own via DIY & it worked like super 3G

@varkey wont the micro sim fall off ? i will get the sim tomorrow...if it works like you said will save me a lot of headache .Yeah saw that link on another forum but i dont have any sim holder ...will ask the local mobile shop guys for some....but i dont know how i will cut the hole to the correct size .

Actually you can file the adapter as well as the sim... Works well that ways... Using the same on my iphone with gevey sim...

lol sounds dangerous.How you cut the plastic to the correct size?can you explain how you did the whole procedure in detail?

I plan to make this adapter with the remaining portion of the card holder...i will cut it to normal sim size first then will place the micro sim over and cut the hole to fit the micro sim(only this part looks really difficult to me).And what you mean by "file the adapter"?

I haven't tried it myself, but few users had mentioned in the BSNL 3G thread that it worked fine.

Regarding the IMEI, they didn't even mention about the IMEI when I got the SIM. I was looking at the screen while the guy was entering the details and there was indeed a field called IMEI but in my case it was left blank but SIM got activated within 2 hours or so.

Why don't you try giving your data card's IMEI number, I don't think they will check if its actually an iPad's.

I haven't seen the BSNL Modem, but it should be printed on the modem itself or on the modem cover.
