I have a coolermaster RS 350 Psar i3 in my pc and i am going to get the 6950 in a few days, is it absolutely necessary to upgrade psu ?

You must be joking to run a 350 watts with a 6950. It can't even run a 5770 and will be struggle even with a 5670 or less.

For a 6950 2gb with an ordinary system, you should have a solid 600-650 watts system (assuming you need no headroom) from Corsair or Seasonic or CM SilentPro M/Real Power 700+.

Not advisable. I suppose it doesn't have a PCI-E power connector either. Get a better power supply.

What are the rest of the system specs?

@Op

At least get a Corsair VX 500/Seasonic 520 watt psu to run the gfx card. BTW, what proccy do you have? Any low end proccy will be a huge bottleneck for the gfx card.

Also, google a bit to find out the amp requirement for the gfx card on +12v rail so that you can get the psu accordingly.

People here arent as rich as you here sire, so kindly refrain from exaggerating things and scaring people.

@OP: You'd be fine with a Corsair VX550W, it will cost you around 4.5k. The PSU you have wont even have a single PCI-E power cable whereas a 6950 needs two of them.

^^Okay minimum get the Corsair VX 550 ~ 4400/- OR Cooler Master Silent Pro M600 ~ 5800/- for some headroom.
