Win 7 ultimate n retail - no wmp ?

OMG. So there is not going to be any retail release in the near future with all bug fixes. I hoped that some of the bug fixes like the MS Non-user data input filter will be made in this latest release.

But, on the contrary this release became even worse. Gonna stick on with the RTM...
 
it has the WMP. i've got the windows 7 ultimate retail version installed on my laptop. and believe me. it's great.

dude, i meant the Retail N version and not the Retail version. The retail version which is released in 24th august has everything...

You are still confused. Retail version has been launched on 22nd Oct and not 24th aug.
And it has both N and normal versions.

but i dont find any other versions other than the N versions released which alone are released on 22nd October in the msdn subscriber downloads...

plz clarify...

this is the title of the dvd i got.

en_windows_7_ultimate_x86_dvd_x15-65921

and i'm sure its the 22nd october version.

no. I tried installing wmp11 (preactivated and installs/works in xp) but it isnt getting installed itself .

either bcuz of incompatiblity or its a pirated version it doesnt install in win7...
 
i think that wmp11 is for xp and vista.

w7 uses wmp12.

for installing wmp 11 there are guides on the net (google "wmp 11 windows 7" )
