Laptops Windows 7 32bits @ Studio 1535

hey guys,

Calling all Dell Studio users.

I am looking for Studio 1535 Windows 7 32bits drivers. I wont get it from dell coz according to them, the drivers cd will be bundled along with Windows 7 OS DVD (fraking useless monopoly of Mcsft!).

There isnt any issue atm, but the Base System Devices are all with yellow question mark.

Can someone help on this? as drivers are important.

I don't know why you are having problems. I am also using 1525 with Windows 7 Pro and mine has no yellow mark for any drivers. I just installed CCC v10 and that's it. Rest all drivers were found by Windows 7 (except the iR for remote control which I still didn't install )

Most of the vista drivers should work completely fine with Windows 7. Just use your vista drivers DVD that came with your lappy. Also run Windows update and you are good to go

I think its sd card drivers which you need. So just google "Ricoh sd card drivers" and install its drivers. And your yellow marking will be gone.

Go to dell site, select get drivers as per model number...and download them...

Well, i got rid of 1 yellow exclamation via windows update.. will need to do some search on rest of the 2 later..

Will post the results as soon as i get it sorted.. till then anybody faced or known of such issues, reply back

After installing Intel Chipset Utility software (m/b), i didnt have to manually d/l a single driver for my HP

Windows Update took care of everything.

if you're laptop is Intel based, then d/l this *Intel® Chipset Identification Utility

Identify the m/b model/series, then go here & download the Chipset Utility http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx

Install, reboot & then run Windows Update 7 let it do its stuff

^^ Dont need any intel utility. Its something with other h/w on the laptop. Will do it when i get back home.

Okay!! the problem is solved! it was the issue with Ricoh sd Card thingy!

It was supposed to get installed auto from windows resources but wierd.. victim of my own ignorance lol.
