looks like MS is cutting their losses and moving on from trying to convince the general public that Vista is good. First the Windows 'Mojave' ads, and then the Seinfeld - Gates ads (which came to an abrupt halt without completing the campaign). I feel kind of bad for them, but they make enough bank to pay the rent and the world keeps turning.

YouTube - Windows 7 Aero Peek
Anyone who still thinks the UI is like OSX needs to see this video and pay attention to the peek.
Peek is innovative, but the icons on the taskbar are a TOTAL rip-off from the OSX dock.

I'm not complaining though, cause I live the way the OSX UI is spaced and will look forward to it back on my Windows desktop.

So is anybody here actually using Windows 7 as a primary OS? How is driver support, stability and general app compatibility like?

Well, the icons on the taskbar is not a ripoff from the OSX rather its Microsoft's very own.
It was first introduced in Windows 1.01(the first windows), some 23 years back and is being brought back again.

XP was called a shit OS when it was released but then now everyone says XP is the best. Vista when it came, suffered a lot due to immature drivers and some loopholes. It takes time before a OS settles down. XP took 7 years of development from Drivers and softwares to become what it is now. Vista did that very quickly. Even any game that is coming now for instance, FarCry 2 performs better in DX10 than in DX9. Vista is winning and it will continue.

Windows 7 is surely not anything from scratch. Every OS does carry the good features of the old and brings in good new features. Windows 7 is gonna do the same. Windows 7 has worked on the weaknesses of Vista and is going to be a strong, secure and user friendly OS.
And if that says I am a M$ fanboy, oh yeah i surely am...:ohyeah:

Seeing how I got Vista only after SP1, I think I'll wait until the final release to pass judgment. One thing though, I think 7 is almost a Vista service pack 2 with additional changes in the UI.

If you're not yet using RocketDock as yet, you should really try it out.

Interesting so it looks like Apple was stealing from a very old Windows concept now. :ashamed:

Its amusing to see M$ fans jumping up and down with a slight tweak in what already was a P.O.S OS!

Come on! its just a small little adjustment.. what is the big deal!?
Was your first PC a Mac/Linux based PC?
