Does it make sense to buy a Windows Mobile now (read HTC HD 2) or should I go for the Desire?

The reason behind choosing HD 2 in particular is,

1. I'm coming from using a Symbian and would've already bought a Win mobile if it were'nt for Android. So would like to experience Win Mobile

2. Been reading that it can be ported(?) to run Froyo/Gingerbread, so I get to use both Android and Windows

HTC HD2 Android Download Now Ready

YouTube - Android 2.2 (Froyo) on the HTC HD2

3. Like the looks of HD2 better than Desire (bigger screen, black and all)

Or, should I just go with the Desire?

I stuck to win mo for long coz i loved the file explorer

abundant medical softwares

tcpmp and coreplayer

now rockplayer and the 1ghz cpu has almost made android the best mediaplayer device

better than iphone hands down with drag n drop and subtitle .srt support no conversion

also most medical softwares are available now on android though not yet free

so i joined android with galaxy s

am quite happy but still hd2 if u get at around 17k is a very good deal and u can enjoy android as good as the desire

so its upto u now

HD2 can boot windows, android and ubuntu as of now.. and soon it can boot win7 also (hopefully.. ;)) I will suggest go for HD2 with win mo as it is also your android phone also :D

Just noticed something.

In flipkart, the specs mention the screen as SLCD so I'm guessing the model is HTC Desire A8182, priced at 22999

and in adexmart.com this retails for 23499 but the specs mention it as A8181 with AMOLED

Now, I've read somewhere where ~3 months old AMOLEDs suffering screen burns, so would it make sense to go ahead with SCLD rather than AMOLED?
