Microsoft Windows Mobile Operating System
The Windows mobile operating system was launched way back in 2000 with “Pocket PC 2000†as its first operating system and has come a long way since then. The latest os is “Windows Mobile 6.5†which is a great improvement over the previous operating systems hyeah:. These operating systems can be switched very easily in any device(provided there’s a person who builds Roms for that device and more Importantly uploads it on the internet.)These operating systems are available in the form of custom roms.
There are many floating around on the internet. However, very few change their roms because they are either not aware about it or just don’t want to do it. But the people who mod understand its power hyeah: .

This thread aims at highlighting these awesome features of Windows mobile devices and Operating systems. The most important feature is that u can customize it the way u want:hap2:. There are a plethora of applications available. I’m posting the links of some good websites and will gradually keep updating according to the feedback from the users.

Today windows mobile of very importance. Every company is producing windows based or symbian based OS mobile phones.

These phones support a lot of applications especially the GPS services, the most prominent now-a-days.

Windows mobile will now soon become an essential part of human lives because of its versatility.

Hi,

It is really a bad situation for mobile lovers who have just bought a 6.X series of windows mobile that it cannot be updated for Windows Mobile 7.

But the owner of HTC HD2 can relax as their mobiles can be upgraded to Windows Mobile 7.

ummm.. nop i dont think the HTC HD2 can be upgraded as per all the latest sources.. neway where did u hear that it can be updated.. ?? ne links.. coz ill be buying this phone very soon.. not that i care if its gonna be upgradable or not.. but still it would be an added bonus..

I don't think HD2 can be used with windows 7 its gotta do with conformance to 3 button interface.

MS did a great job by setting up standards for devices that can be used with windows 7.

Can we install windows 7 on 6.x instead of upgrading ? I am sorry if I have asked silly question.

I am planning to take gigabyte ms820 which is on 6.1 so asked.
