The only lumia which will give you decent battery life is the 720 and its quite a bit to extend the budget by! You can go in for a Lumia 520, fits well in your budget but battery life is less! 720 has a 200mAh vs the 1430mAh on the Lumia 520!

Yeah, you need to go for the Lumia 720 if you need good battery life. But your budget only gives headroom for Lumia 520. Will you be keeping this phone switched off or in airplane mode when not in use? If yes, then go for the 520. It won't disappoint.

Is there any Android phone with good battery life in this budget? The best I've heard is the Panasonic P51, but it retails for around 19.5k.

Why will your iphone 5 have network issues ? If a flaghip can't see the network then how will a low end device do it.

Is carrying a battery bank an option at all.
