Love Android OS? Ever thought of running Android on your Windows running PC or laptop (touchscreen is even better) to be able to get the Android experience (or a part of it) without actually owning any device? Well you can do that now with WindowsAndroid.
WindowsAndroid
No dual-booting, no virtualization. Socketeq.com have complied a new port of Google's massively popular Android operating system, but this time it runs natively on Windows kernel. WindowsAndroid runs on Windows Vista, Windows 7 or the latest Windows 8 (no need for Linux to run Android).
WindowsAndroid runs really fast thanks to breaking free of any Virtualization chains. The OS runs either the Tablet or Smartphone UI depending on the size of the window. If your screen resolution is less than 1280*800, the smartphone UI is used by default. Higher resolution displays are treated to the tablet UI. Mice and Keyboard support is present, and works well too! Socketeq has cooked up a complete Android experience for our Windows running PCs or laptops.
To enjoy Google's Apps (such as Market or GMail) you'll have to install (flash) them separately though. Currently, the latest flavor of Android that runs natively is Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, which isn't bad (although Android 4.1 Jelly Bean would be more awesome. Maybe the next version!).
