Laptops Witcher 2 dell xps 15 problem

Hi ,
The witcher 2 is not atall playable on any settings on dell xps 15 540m gpu, 2630 i7, 6 Gb ram..
Help guys ..
Is this a common problem or is it with my laptop only..
At lowest settings it gives around 15-20 fps
 
I have L501x dude.. I will try and tell you..

With your specs you should be able to play at 1080p in Med
 
Hehe..i am feeling better i didnt pick up the xps. Atleast i can play at 1366*768 with high presets and 1080p with medium presets. Gpu is 550m btw.
 
^^ That isnt the point. As long as i am able to play my selection of games, Mhz/Ghz figures dont matter to me much.
 
i tried it at medium setting on my dell XPS L502x , it has 1 gb 525 nvidia..worked well and was playable..

The point is, if isn't playable on the GT 540M, it won't be playable on GT 550M.

No, the thing is, Witcher 2 at the most would give a scanty 3-5 fps extra than the OP's config.

I'm trying to figure out why he's getting low fps.
 
At 1366x768 on High OC to 720/920 Its very much playable on High - L501x..

Just update it once, else OC , AT last Goto DELL
 
thanks for the reply guys, I the witcher 2 is not ment for low configs.....

As i have tested it on my desktop 460gtx card, i7 950 , 6gb ddr3 ram .. was playable at medium settings but "still gives a lag on going to the inn or some indore rooms" in the game...

So, i think witcher 2 is not ment for laptop playing, as desktop 460gtx is 500% faster then laptops gt540 / gt 550 / gt 555....

And by playable i mean 25-30 fps, not less then that.....

Please coment..
 
What drivers are you using ? Is the game patched to the latest version ?

@hide0us: please , whats the point of comments like that ? i think there's a separate section for showoff, or were you looking for a spam section ?

1. Use latest DX

2. Use latest nVidia GeForce drivers

3. Patch Witcher 2 to latest version
