Which shoes should be preferred for everyday commuting?
Woodland or other Sports type shoes like adidas and all?

Woodland adverts suggest rock climbing and all, and adidas suggests jogging and sports.
Anything for the daily needs?

Well, what type of needs?? For general case Adidas ones would be fine, if you want formal office shoes, take a look at Red Tape ones.

Well needs are just daily commuting from place to place.

Not formals though.

Does woodland shoes cause excessive sweating?

Just try all of them and get the lightest and most comfortable ones :)

Both brands are worth your trust and money

I've had a pair of Woodland shoes (now stolen! :O ) and they didn't cause any kind of sweating.

If I were you will go with Air brand from Malaysia/Thailand/Taiwan- 3 years ago I had purchased for Rs.650/- from Road side hawkers at Mumbai, my experience with them was great- no sweat, no pain very comfortable & just stick to each & ever part of foot & lightest shoes I ever buy in that price range, last for 2.5 yrs. With every wash after 2-3 months it spark like new- every time. :)

Now days I'm using Lotto brand sport shoes but really miss the wearing pleasure I enjoy with that Rs.650/- price shoes. If again I need to buy Sport Shoes than really going on hunt for that Air Brand :)

Woodland shos are usually very heavy although I find them the most comfortable. They are more suited to walk on uneven/slippery roads as they have an awesome grip. Also, you should have a personality to carry such a look as they generally look good on people who are heavily build or have a large frame. In the end, try different brand of shoes and choose the one you feel most comfortable in. In my opinion one should never compromise on shoes as they are one of the most important part of your attire.
