Wordpress theme for portal functionality..

Guys First off dont have any experience with wordpress..:ashamed:

Thats due to the reason that the blog layout never caught my fancy:no:

But, while searching i bumped into a few magzine themes, though now perfect for my use, but still a step forward:)

My requirements

1) Sections/ categories for two different set of users(and not bloggers) in same blog. (I mean that there will be 2categories of users, so will need if possible TABS or something to differentiate posts for them, Or can i simply make 2categories and sub categories in them?

2) Good for articles on things and NEWS.. Multiple articles should be viewable on the front page and full utilization of the space..NO wastage..

3) Should be able to rank post as per popularity AND as per the order set by me (say i want a post to always appear on front page, then it should..If i want it to appear 2nd in order, then the rest follow the normal order ie 1,3,4,5)

4) Would prefer if its simple and easy to mod..

5) I dont mind if its popular..I want it to be easy to use.

6) If it can display the comments on the forum threads through rss, that will be a bonus:hap2:

7) Should hav good ads placements.Thats the last thing i want to fiddle abt with..

8) Low load on resources

I dont mind if you reply even after 1month or year, cause the search will be ALWAYS ON..:P

I think i need to further explain the first requirement:-

Something like this

1)main portal (has posts from both categories)

2)Category A portal(available by pressing a tab or something)

1) sub category a

2) sub category b

3)Category B portal(available by pressing a tab or something)

1) sub category a

2) sub category b

Now, i want to be able to sticky posts for different pages like main portal , cat1, cat2(seperate stickies)...:)

I've tried Joomla..Its a lot of hassle for a noob..never really understood what to do:ashamed:

Im a noob in these things, and dont know the first thing abt scripting, php etc..

@party monger: not hijacking your thread mate, safin is the one who's designed the TE theme. So if he can do this then theres lotta things he can do for the right kinda moolah.
 
@anish- CMS made simple just rocks man!!!!

The damn thing could create a quiz in matter of minutes using a plugin!!!

insanely effecient and easy!!!

Is there any other site or all of them are located on cmsms site only??

If you have links please do post..

I checked it for an hr or so..was testing the various plugins..
