Looking for a Used IDE DVD WRiter, but it should be working properly, should burn dual layer dvds at 4x flawlessly.

I can also buy a SATA DVD-RW if it has the option to be powered via the standard 4 pin molex connector , since this is for my old pc ..the current powersupply has only the standard 4 pin molex connectors ....Interested people PM me with prices

Thanks

for SATA DVD writer, the power connector won't be a problem but do you have a SATa port on ur motherboard. u said it's an old PC.

U get one sata cable and one ide to sata power connectors with new box-packed burners- Use that. :)

I had to do that in a new rig as the psu only had 2 sata power connectors on one loom that went to the HDDs.

And even ide versions of new burners are available- say an LG H22/H55/H62??

Take your pick from Samsung or LG ones.

1.1K is not very expensive and used burners are usually not a good buy. :)

^^ i support bikey, even i was looking for a used dvd writer for my friend , but after evaluating my options i found it best to buy a new one as the one yr warranty totally ofsets the saving of few hundred rupees
