hi
does anybody have a heatsink (third party) for the 6600 gt AGP ?
i would like to buy a used one or new one if someone knows where i can get one from.

regards

i have lot of problems with my heatsink.i want to change it. i am getting too high temps at stock speeds leading to the pc reseting after a few minutes of gasmeplay. the heqtsink on the xfx card itself is of really poor quality aliminium and copper sandwich with very little in terms of surface area a nd a small fan that looks really wimpy and i guess low cfm.

hmm what sort of problems... care to enlighten me?

(just asking cause me to got a 6600gt. . so just wanna be on the safe side here)

Well I had the same Rev 2 XFX 6600GT, I also made my own custom HSF combination with alot of help of rahul of this forum. What u can do is that , u take out the default fan from the HSF combination, then fix up a 60mm high rpm fan(60mm fans are the ones which came mounted with the old Athlon socket A proccies). Also u can open up the whole HS, then apply some good thermal paste properly. Both this steps should lower down ur temps to arnd 75 degrees max. Mine stays at 75 max even with 580 Mhz Core & 1175 mem.

Hope it helps, in case of any problems getback to me or better contact "rahul3111" of this forum
