He wants DVI support + support for high resolution so he can run a decent LCD resolution on it. AFAIK, the 845 doesnt support higher WS resolutions. Hence the requirement :) His ONLY use is music + normal VCD/DVD/movies etc :)

Read the entire thread but couldn't understand anything.:P Does anyone have a PCI or an AGP 4x card for sale? My friend wants one for his i845.

845 does support high WS resolutions,with latest drivers.
Two of my friends are running ViewSonic 19" and 22" at native resolutions,with the 845's onboard gpu.

yes brother i know, but who would want digital output with a 5 year old system. d-sub will do fine in this case. i dont see the need for mr techie007's friend to spend any money on a pci card :D
