Plus the card may be stuck at customs for months or even worse....

just wondering if nebody ever tried having something expensive (say worth around 350 dollars) shipped here marked as a gift ?

would customs still apply considering the item is marked as a gift ?
 
^^I think they will charge you... I have had a real bad one with them over my Phoenix Gold + Audiobahn Amps costing somewhere around $1200(MRP). That officer argued as I am getting stuff free anyways, so I should not mind paying lil bit of duty. Beat that!

Back to topic, I think makes, hardly matters, I mean 2-3 FPS is ok.
 
Well, Sandy gave me a weird idea that to import the card covered with gift wrapping lol, will that really help?

^^I guess that (i.e. customs) totally depends upon your luck...maybe I'm worng.

I had to pay Rs. 1k customs for a $65 item...+ it was stuck in customs for over a month...

while a cuzin got a $250 item within 1 week of shipment w/o having to pay ne customs...
 
I don't have enough patience...I can either import it through DHL or wait till ****ing July untill my uncle comes down to Bombay...
 
DHL will cost you roughly 80 - 100$ depending on the Size and Weight.

Import wont be charged. Just undervalue the product. Write like 50$ on the top. Simple.
 
but wont they check the contents before packing it up and also didnt know they send electronics half way across the world :P

It was costing me 80$ to deliver my PC160's from California (Hillsborough) to Mumbai.
 
Will the gift wrapping trick really work?

And, I doubt I can quote it as being $50 because Im getting a mobo along with the card.
