PC Peripherals x-fi xtreme gamer or x-plosion 7.1

hehe good luck with those Dickhead morons at M-Audio's dev. site who just give a f*ck to upgrade the drivers for so much "in use" product.

U sh'd have checked forums before. If u stick to normal XP, it is no doubt a very good card. But in plain terms u made a big big mistake buying an M-audio if u put urself into Vista or x64 platform. It won't work in 32bit windows 2003 either.

those "dickhead morons" at M-Audio are probably not releasing drivers for vista yet cause they must be working in conjunction with Digidesign to get out vista compatible Protools M-powered and the drivers at the same time.

Oh yeah -- & those idiots are doing it past 3 years & yet no results. The problem is not Vista my freind, its a major flaw/design bug in the drivers which leads to major incompatibility with .net. That is the most probable reason none of the drivers work on MCE, & vista has .net embedded in core.

The drivers may not be important to some people, but to some people they are the First point to decide for some product, & in this rapidly upgrading software environment, a hardware that fails to provide stable drivers is a failure in plain terms. Its not only m-audio, even creative is so much criticized even by "creative lovers" for such bloated drivers.

Above all, a sound card normally doesn't need an upgrade till 3 to 5 years, & I see the current scene that almost 40-50% people will be ported on VISTA in nearly 6-8 months. Then what u do with a card that doesn't comply?
