X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Good: (Gamespot Review)

* Raw, brutal action

* Varied enemy types

* Good showcase of Wolverine's powers.

Bad: (Gamespot Review)

* Too easy

* Disappointing (and sometimes buggy) boss fights

* Cheap deaths.

(or)

Batman:Arkham Asylum

Good: (Gamespot Review)

* Story mode really sucks you in

* Uncomplicated combat is fast-paced and looks fantastic

* Tons of cool stuff to unlock, including Challenge mode maps

* Audio and visual presentation is uniformly impressive

* You won't want to stop playing even after you've solved all 240 riddles.

Bad: (Gamespot Review)

* Too tempting to play through the entire game in detective vision mode

* Supervillains that you don't get to fight feel like missed opportunities.

Batman any day. Though Wolverine still comes ta second best. Both of them show what the superheroes are actually about, Wolverine showcasing Logan's anger and hack-slash moves, while Batman shows the true batman inside, and teh amazing portrayal of the gadgets. But for me, it's joker that swings it majorly in favor of Batman. After heath Ledger, best portrayal of Joker till date hands down.

Yeah, Detective mode really made me miss the wonderful graphics this game had to offer. I wish they had worked it out some other way but otherwise, top notch game. The best I have plyed in years... well it's prolly the only game I have played in years.

Story, graphics, audio, cut scenes All to batman...

Combat(superhero feel) to wolverine. batman is equally good too...

I haven't played Wolverine, but wonder what it has to compete against batman's gadgets. Batman's gadgets, cape and his fighting style make for a killer combo...

I haven't played Batman yet and will be a while before I can. :(

Regarding wolverine, I didn't like it much. It was a fun tp game, but nothing really that would be worthy of calling it great.

There is absolutely no comparison between the two. Wolverine is purely an hack and slash action game and is fun to play no doubt, but Arkham Asylum has much more depth and a way better game overall. The only similarities between the two are that both are based on comic hero's and both use the UT3 Engine and even at that Arkham Asylum is a much more polished game and actually shows the potential of the engine.

Darn !! The Gamespot review hit the nail on the head. I dont remember when I last deactivated Detective Mode :ashamed:

I keep switching to the normal mode whenever I can, sometimes just to soak in the visuals :P

Used to only deactivate detective mode only during fight scenes, as fighting blue skeletons wasn't satisfying enough. Otherwise I was obsessed with completing Riddler's challenges.
