Wow! Finally a solution to vdroop issues.

Not that I overclock these days but it is good to know.
 
With ASUS going forward and using non reference socket, I suppose boards from other manufacturers with non-reference sockets are just around the corner.

To what exactly does patent applies is interesting, since intel's Engineers must be using those extra pins for internal testing during development/testing phase.
