Awesome tips by parasharenator.many thanks to him.
many may find the solution to their doubts.
So the story goes
1.I don't think you need CK3 probe for other drives...
again,if u google(which I did,for you) you would find that results show "CK3 add-on for LITE-ON" so I think it's probably only for them,,JUst Do your research{I think for connecting the TX and *X,home made things like needle,etc.mite work..will have to read the process to give definitive alternative for CK3}
For other drives(I mean Samsung,preferably):
you don't need anything(as you don't have to open the drives,perse)
Even the connectivity Kit is not needed while dumping serial key
You just have switch OFF-ON u're 360 which can be done by pressing the soft push button below the power button(I mean after you remove the faceplate,,)
you just press it with anything,precision flat head screwdriver (I used my room key for the same )
It's very simple and you will know this when you open the faceplate,,
{you will understand that when you press the power button with faceplate there...you are actually pressing a soft button below it)
2.If you're getting an 'old' 360 drive.
I don't think that you need to copy the serial from 'new'(u'res) one to 'old' one..
Coz,u're basically replacing the disc drive..and I don't think the console identifies the difference(AM NOT VERY SURE)
But practically you're just replacing the drives..so flashing the 'old' one(rrod one)should work wonder..But then you might want to keep u're 'new' drive(Just in Case,,though seeming by my aforementioned logic,it shouldn't BE needed...But again..you might want to keep the 'new' one for Warranty Issues(replacing it,if and when RROD occurs)
I hope am simplifying things
And if u're talking about samsung drives.Mine is Samsung MS-28(the 'elite' choice for the modders)
and my console has been running hassle free for 2 years...There are some precuations to avoid RROD which I take...always!!!
Apart from that
(play online ,rarely..but not banned)
{EDIT:I mite sell my console to you,if your offer is tempting!
Want to stop my addiction for xbox 360,but only if it's worth the moolah }
3.nah,,1 sticker...that too below faceplate
for non-arcade ones..only 1 for sure..(have holographic stickers)
For Arcade..as i've heard(DO YOUR HOMEWORK)..it's again 1(below faceplate)..and it's easier to remove..doesn't have holographic stickers{SO Hair Dryer "Removal" Trick will work perfect---
TRY TO REMOVE The sticker as neatly as possible(hair dryer trick) in either of the above cases.just to cover for warranty!!!
And last I knew,drives don't have any stickers!
(it's impractical)
Soft-Modding ain't that difficult,if you have done bit of u're computer opening and assembling stuff...
Only that opening the 360 should be done properly,chances of doing damage are minimal,,,but better to see videos and tutorials(youtube and 360mods.net)
If specific help is what you want...
post on 360mods.net
I got my console modded while one member(whom I didn't knew before) from 360mods.net told me each step(in detail)online,while I used Jungleflasher(had the tutorial opened too,just to double-check)
Aur ye sab katha se upaay na mile toh...
Kripya,,
