So for the other console, here's the man date:
2010-08-11 - The site shows liteon but also shows NTSC.... but mine is PAL
 
Vercetti, that site can't confirm which drive you have for sure. You will only know, once you open up the whole console and physically check it.

As for niceguy1430, if you looking at flashing the firmware of the drive, in the event that it's a 9504 Lite-On, MS's latest dashboard update is SPI locking the drive and reverting it to original firmware. Which means, once you update to the latest dashboard, say adios to flashing your drive.

Does it come with a usb interface.

I guess its the bundled so it doesnt have the usb adapter.
