Android Xender app cannot save files to my SD card, why?

After the recent update am unable to save files in my SD card.

Also unable to view a picture in the gallery, previously this features worked absolutely fine.

Please help!

They must be in SD Card > Android > data > cn.xender

KitKat: you'll need to fix "write to SD Card" permission. lots of apps can do this for you. don't know if you require root access.
Lollipop: apps now can request writing to SD Card. all you need is the updated version of the app.

another option is to create symlink to divert Xender data to SD Card.
