The Heatsinks r compatible with the usual amd or intel processor sockets ???? if so then will take both of them.

and regarding the HDs can that be used as the normal HDs without any adapters or cards ?

AFAIK, SAS drives cannot be used in SATA backplanes. The reverse is.

Also, my plan to use this for testing has been put on the backburner due to my increased workload.
