^ Get atleast 380W seasonic costs 3k but preferable is CM Real Power 460W for 3.5k.

Yes you can play on HD resolutions without any issues on high settings.

Where are you getting this from? As for price here in India, it seems in the range of Rs.8-9k.

Powercolor ATI Radeon HD4850 AX4850 1GBD3-PH1GB DDR3 Graphics Card -

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD4850 11132-34 1GB GDDR3 Graphics Card - 11132-34

I'm considering getting the same card.

Exactly ,,, XFX has teh most expensive 4850 .. hope it gives gud performance also !

Crossair 450 vx/ Crossair 400 watt

i have heard really gud things abt both of these smps. Can soneone plz tell me the price of these smsps .. and also for Cooler master 450 watt.

also my card requires ( as mentioned on ati web site )atleast 450 watt power , will it b fineto go with 400 watt then ..

And finally u all missing the point here ... if i buy >2k smps now .. my monitor will shift 2 months back .. i need sumthing around 2k ...

wont company like iball ,, zebronics , powercolor or any OK OK brand have a 450 watt smps for around 2K

Cause certainly you don't wanna see your rig busted when you get the monitor. Never compromise on the SMPS. your minimum bet is a Sea sonic S12II 380 for 3k. Not that any 450W can handle your card because not every 450W rated SMPS can deliver the same at steady load. A good 380/400W can easily draw your card with your rig. But buying 450W gives you the room for adding extra peripherals like HDDs,Fans etc in future. :)

And the cheapest SMPS I will suggest is Gigabyte Superb 460W for around 2.2k available on Lynx. Actually it delivers 400W at steady load and the peak wattage is 460W. But it should handle a 4850.

Corsair 450W (VX450W) Rs.3950

Corsair 400W (CX400W) Rs.3300

I would suggest a Gigabyte Superb 460W which should be ~2k. It will easily handle ur HD4850 without any issues.

If u can spend another 1k, u can go for the CX400, but personally, i would never delay getting a HD monitor :p

Now thats wht i am talking about .... thnx clown_abhi !! i also dont want to wait for the even a sec more for the HD monitor.

So i guess Gigavyte super 460watt is the way 2 go for me ...

But just for other to knw .. i dont have anything else in my case ... i mean just mobo , processor with its fan , 1 hdd , 1 dvd drive ,,1 pci rair card .. dats all i have .. so i guess this 460 watt wld do it for me ... + it will be gud for my UPS as 460 watt + 45watt ( for 22" sammy lcd monitor) = almost 500watt ( APC UPS ) i think it will give gud gud back back !!

thxn guyz !

rather than spending 10.5k for 4850 you should have bought yourself a gtx260 for the same price. anyways buy a gigabyte superb 460w which is in your budget, should be enough for your 4850.

HD4850 1GB costs less than 8k locally... MSI HD4850 1GB comes for around 7750 i guess..
and powercolour HD4850 1GB costs 7.5k

i didnt spend 10.8k .. i got XFX 4850 1gb in 5987 only ... !! Anyhow i wanted to switch nw .. my last 3 G cards were from nvidia .. wanted ATI ! And if i cld spend 10.8k .. i wld probable have gotten myself xfx 4890 xxx edition from the States ofcourse !

its always best to buy the cheapest 4850 ...no matter what company...google for memory chips rating......whatss the use of buying factory overclocked card when u urself can overclock it....so why pay more???

it aint overclocked ... its just expensive .. actually my frnd has msi 4850 512 mb .. his cards has loads of problem ...i alwax had xfx .. so decided to go with xfx only !

TS has made the purchase already, any discussion regarding the same is pretty much pointless.

@negi
You've made a decent purchase, and got a pretty good deal on it from what i can see.
I can understand your sentiment towards getting your display ASAP, but please don't skimp out on the PSU, even though you don't have many components, the 4850 consumes a lot of power.
I wouldn't even think about going for anything less than the Gigabyte 460W, however neither i nor anyone i know has tested this PSU personally, so if at all possible, get your self a Corsair CX400/Seasonic 380W for peace of mind.
Good luck with the purchases. Post pics of your new PSU/GPU in the show-off section. :)
