and one more thing is ther any gpu specific thermal compounds :huh: is it ok to use the thermal compund that is applied on a cpu :huh:
 
No there are not any GPU Specific Thermal Compound. Instead of applying the thermal poaste first better clean all the dust which the graphics card may have collected over the past 2 years

Yes. Make the 120mm fan to blow air on the 60mm stock fan Following results:

1. this creates high pressure air to go into the stock fan/heatsink, thus increasing cooling.

2. Keeps the Black XFX shrad cool

3. Keeps the PCB cool

4. Provides upward air flow to the hot air inside tha cabinet which can be ejected by the rear fan or the PSU fan... or Top fan incase u hav (CM690).

And yes, plz open n refit ur stock HSF after cleaning it up n applying new tx-2.
