Xiaomi launches 40-inch Full HD Mi TV 2 for $320

Xiaomi has announced a new 40-inch model as part of its Mi TV 2 line-up. As the younger kin of the 49-inch Mi TV 2 with 4K video support, the new 40-inch Mi TV 2 model is more of an affordable full HD version. Xiaomi’s new 40-inch Mi TV 2 will be available on March 31 from Xiaomi website.

20k in China will be atleast 30k+ after landing taxes and margins....and this makes it a dud. Anyway dreams are free.

I think Micromax has a 4K 40" at 36-39K. It may be junk in terms of top of the line 4K models, but it is competitive in India.
With 36% import duty on flat panels + shipping, even this well priced MiTv will become expensive. Thanks to our leech government.

Just bought a 32" tv. Anyway getting to buy one of these is going to be a pain even if they launch it in India.

Yes, but the others will be forced to revise their offerings. That's what happened in the phone market. When did we ever have phones offering decent specs for <10k? After Mi announced their entry.
