Xiaomi Piston 2?

This time Flipkart has made a blunder and they know it. They have even sent mails to some customers who purchased the Pistons about the mixup between Piston 1 and Piston 2 in their warehouses and hence cancelled many orders.

They screwed big time! But how many will come forward knowing what they purchased is not the right stuff! FK will never give in no matter what! It has always been that way!

Im sorry but the shhbz dude is completely clueless, he's going by the the placement of some holes and the L & R marking on the earbuds, but that subtle differnce doesn't mean the one Flipkart is selling fakes.

I own both, ordered mine a few months ago from Amazon.com and now a pair from Flipkart just arrived yesterday, the difference in the look and feel is subtle but the quality of the product is exactly the same.

He even admits to have jumped the gun too early before letting them burn-in - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55315777&postcount=40
Although I didn't believe in this process first I think after a few hours of listening on my flipkart pair it made quite a difference and they are absolutely on par with my amazon pair.

These ear-buds ar quite amazing, you wont get crazy bass but you'll hear sharp, crisp tones, the clarity is remarkable for a Chinese product. noise cancellation is excellent too.

Again to sum it up...not fake, not piston 1, these are the originals piston 2's

Has anyone who has the Mi Pistons from abroad compared them with the ones being sold at FK ?
Just want to confirm they are exactly the same.
The boxes are diff & unless I have a really bad sense of smell, no choc smell.

I don't claim to be a audiophile but, to me atleast, these are not that much better than the Kanen KM92s I was using. I know this is subjective and I could be very wrong, but ...

I will have to retract the above. I replaced the eartips with the ones from the Kanen KM92. Sounding much better now. The burn in may have contributed too.
Choice of eartips seems to be v imp with these.

So, I received the tri-flanges and tried them. Here's my take.
Pros: Improved soundstage, airy, sound more towards neutral now, too comfortable.
Cons: Bass impact less, highs bit rolled off.

The quality of these flanges are 'you get what you pay for'. Will try to trim the flanges to make a balance.

Hey man, wassup. So tried mine and same here, the bass impact is certainly lower. Did you trim yours, if so did it make any diff?

I am good. Thanx. I trimmed one into bi-flanges but the fit is not good. Sound is also very different, not enjoyable at all. So, back to the original tips but his time wearing them over the ear makes them much more comfortable and fit is good too. Try it, now I am looking for 'ear hooks' for these.

Found but expensive... check these

The first one is outrageously priced. Let's put it that way!

As for the second one, you are right, they do seem removable. And cheaper too.
I'll look locally for these hooks till the time my current ones wear out.
