Xiaomi Redmi 1S goes on sale on Flipkart for Rs. 5999

"We've added your Redmi 1S to the Cart. You have till 11:59 PM on September 03, 2014 to make your payment. "

This is where I stand now. I can make the payment only tomorrow. Will they really hold it for me until then? Coz I remember once I added a product on amazon and a day later when I was ready to make the payment they said it has gone out of stock after I added it to my cart. So only if I don't pay by tomorrow midnight, will they add it back to their stock for the next flash sale?
Yeah... They will... I bought my 2nd Mi3 for my sis on the next day at 10:00 PM... It will stay in your cart don't worry...

Also I urge others to do COD as my Mi power bank is stuck with eKart for 3 days now. There is no sign where the shipment is. Take COD if you don't want to pay by CC...

I have a spare one if anyone's interested. PM me.

Sorry, not willing to pay you a premium. Pls. go ahead with your last best offer received of 2.5k !!

Edit: On a side note, only a fool will pay 6 + 2.5 = 8.5K for a phone like Redmi.
If value for money tag is removed from Redmi, many won't even buy it for the bland and outdated design of it.

Have ordered one with credit card and got order confirmation mail too but on order status page it is showing "Payment not received".
What is wrong any idea? Finger Crossed!

This fella on ebay is selling the redMi 1s for 3400/-

Whats the deal with this guy?

Edit - my bad. 3400/- is his fees. He has redmi's in carts.

The ordering process itself seems to have many loopholes allowing middlemen like these to easily abuse the process and the stock for themselves. What is the point of them offering good prices if the stock is going to end up in the hands of greedy middlemen who are going make 50~60% premium out of it.

In any case I sent a report to both Xiaomi and Flipkart about this and asked them to see if they can streamline the process to avoid this sort of abuse at least to some extent. They may be getting the money regardless of who it is from, but what is the point of their exclusivity deal and all that marketing effort if they are going to end up with the ill repute out of all of this and somebody else is making more money than them at their expense.

Guys.. As promised here is the tip -

Add Compare Hatke to your chrome addin's. Right click on it -> go to options -> check the Redmi 1S or MI3 sale related statement.
Wait for the sale day, login to FK couple of hrs before, open the adin page in another tab, wait for the last 5 mins remaining.

When it comes to last 5 mins, check if the clock displayed on FK and the popoup that appears coz of the addin is synced. If not refresh (F5) to sync it. Wait for the magic to work :p

Thanks.. atleast we can try for next sale

Was this Extension available at time of MI3 sale?

I have tried 3 and succeeded 2 times when trying during the Mi3 sale. The best way to go about it is that you register and you log on 20 minutes before the sale then refresh the page at around 5 minute mark before the sale begins and then refresh again before the 2 minute mark and then around 1 minute mark then wait for countdown to finish and hit buy now when its visible. You should have it your cart or FK should reserve it for you. Told this to a friend and it worked for her as well.

The idea is that your browser/machine clock should be synced to the FK store clock. I say this cause the one time I wasn't able to buy Mi3 was that I logged on to FK but kept open the window with the timer and noticed that eventually my system time and the browser window time was different(it was 2:00 in my system but the countdown still had good 20 seconds on it) and by the time the timer reached zero the window switched to "The sale is now over" page. Also I guess registering earlier helps. So register as soon as the registrations open and also don't just buy as in book the phone if you are not willing to purchase/keep it. Some other poor soul might be desperately looking for a device and no point reserving and then not buying. Creates unnecessary demand and price hike in the market.

Hope this wasn't a too big a post.

^^ Yes it was.
In fact I got two RedMi (2 accounts) today and one was already added to my FF account.
The tact I used for both friends today was somewhat like this. Any programmer can understand the reason why this works as the best strategy.

1) Open the page when there is say 10min remaining on the countdown.
2)Set your local system clock 2-3 minutes ahead.
3)This way the Flipkart timer will expire at 1:58 and you will get the "Buy Now" button.
4)Click this button and the site will contact the server to confirm if its really 2pm and your click should be valid.
5)Ofcourse the server will return false and then Flipkart again starts a new countdown. BUT this time it is as per their server time. (their Server time matters the most as the deal opens at 2PM (their server time) not your PC time.)
6)As soon as this countdown touches zero start clicking the space above the timer. That is where the buy now button appears.

Use this and you should get the deal. This is the best bet. I have tried it multiple times for MI3 and for Redmi. There may be skeptics who will question this as they did last time I mentioned this but who cares.
If you want the phone next time try this.
Programmers here can tell you why this is a better chance and why server time matters.
And a request to all. This is no kidney heart or eyes.... so stop paying these chindi chors a premium.
Wait for the next batch or the next phone or settle for what ever you can buy fairly. Screw these cheaptards who are using such occassions to make a buck or two. If they want money they should get a decent job.
Lame losers give all kind of bullshit reasons. If that phone is selling at a premium anyone will first walk to the nearby shop and get it sold. But they know that those shops dont even allow these ppl to stand there.
Infact the MODs should ban such sales here... but dont know if that will really happen.....

I agree with you but I think switching your system time won't help much. Refreshing the browser page though is a better option as I guess the server side and the timer gets synced 20-5 mins before the sale begins and thats what matters when we are talking about device being sold out within seconds and not minutes.

@Switch - me too agree with you..
Infact I have seen a lot of sales thread in past month with MI3 where users open the box, first use the phone & then sell it above the purchase price with silly reasons like need money & Blah blah

Multiple clicks will matter a lot, as the server will take one request only I guess, so if constantly keep clicking the chances are rare that which click would be registered!

will it purchase the phone automatically for us.. during the sale time
Or we need to get online as well at that time?
It just adds it to your cart and FK page shows that you have succeeded in adding it to your cart just as if you have clicked to cart it :)

So its more like get it all ready and wait for it to add it automatically.
The success rate is believed to be good.

I donno a faster internet does help as well because the the addin keeps on trying to add the thing into cart even before the timer reaches to zero.

Unable to process the order. Flipkart sucks again.
Pl see the screen shot below. The total amount shown as 5819/-:banghead:
