Hey fellow TE'ians. Was looking at the XOLO play and the specs seem too good to be true on paper as far as the pricing is concerned! FK is selling it for 16k.
So i wanted to know that are XOLO devices long lasting and is it worth getting this over any other Android in this range??

^^ valid point. Probably people didnt bother becoz it was overpriced HTC ( :) just kidding) with no sd slot and fixed battery. And samsung with S3 and exynos 4412 was faster than tegra 3 and had better battery life too.

BTW rom optimizations also plays important role in battery life which anyway these chinese phones lack. So results will be worse than HTC too.

Xolo Q800 has an active Dev community, and so will Xolo Play. I am using my phone with a custom rom since Day 1 (installed custom ROM even before i inserted the sim card :P), awesome battery management. Very satisfied with the battery performance (coming from Defy and then Burst, Xolo is way ahead of both in terms of battery backup.)

i had tegra 3 version of one x. The standby battery life is good if there are no background apps using processor much ( it idles at 51mhz on fifth core ) . While screen is on the battery drains quite fast even while surfing net because of the processor, it used to get quite hot as well. It lasted a day with around 2-3 hours of screen on and no data connection on sim card.

Why do you think Xolo Play will have an active community? Xolo Q700 is an excellent phone but it still doesn't have developer support. I for one will definitely buy Xolo Play as soon as I feel that it is being supported at XDA.
