Xolo has launched its new Tegra 3 powered smartphone Play T1000 for Rs 15,999.

“As the mobile market continues to grow strongly in India, we’re thrilled to work with XOLO to bring the first of many Tegra-powered devices in India,” Said Vishal Dhupar, MD, Nvidia South Asia.

The Xolo Play T1000 comes with 4.7 inch HD IPS Display ( 1280 x 720 resolution ) with One Glass Solution technology. It has Nvidia Tegra 3 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor and Nvidia ULP GPU with 12 cores. It runs Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS.

It has 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage expandable via microSD card slot. There is 8MP rear shooter with BSI sensor, autofocus and LED flash and 2MP front facing camera. It is powered by 2000 mAh battery.

The Xolo T100 will come pre-loaded with Nvidia TegraZone app which provides exclusive and Tegra optimized games.

The smartphone seems to be great on paper as compared to other offerings in this price range. However, we feel that the battery should have been beefier to feed to power hungry Tegra CPU.

The Xolo Play T100 is now available for pre-order on Flipkart at Rs 15,990 and expected to be available in a week.

What !!! No Blow to Unlock ??? Does Xolo think customers will prefer this over the Canvas just because it has a much better processor, GPU and a higher PPI screen ? We want Blow to Unlock !!!

Though seriously speaking a bit disappointed on 4.1 and smallish battery.

Would have bought it if it came with 2gb ram and bigger battery capacity. Already listed in stock with indiatimes for 14700
