Xp setup error

If you ever had Vista on your HDD then it's someth I also faced.......

My friend got same erros and BSODs when he tried to reinstall XP after removing Vista!

In the end,onl thing he could do was install Vista....I used 5 diff CDs on his rig and none worked except for Vista...

... maybe a solution would be to copy the files to a partition, boot to dos and install. If you have an external hard drive available you could do it from someone elses computer.

Dude i told u can boot into safe mode...generic drivers work wid almost everythin...
I don think u tried out anything of wat i took the pains to write...
If u don try wat we say,,, den get ur engineer to work ,,,cause u aint gettin anywhere jus by cryin abt...

Friends, prob solved finally. Changed my Dvd r/w and now its all ok.:hap2:
Bt still confused regarding the r/w, it burns both cds dvds perfectly and also reads them in windows. Then how come theres problem during the setup??? :huh:

If its an unattended setup, are you trying to install something to a drive other then the system drive? And the other drive is not formated?

You guys have gone in a complete wrong way to diagnose the issue. If you had actually looked into the txtsetup.sif i guess you would have found the answer. probably that line contains a wrong parameter for the unattended setup. It may work right on the hardware for which the unattended setup was created for, but may or may not work for the other hardware if that line contained a hardware specific parameter. Anyways, good to know that it worked after changing the DVD drive. probably that parameter got loaded right for that DVD drive you have there

or wipe that data by amercica dban techoloy is better
