Get the XPS 15. Overall a much better laptop. i3 2310M is enough for gaming considering the GPU is just a mid range GT540.

The difference between the GT525M and GT540 is that the GT540 is clocked @ 672MHz and the GT525M @ 600MHz. So a ~12% boost in clock speeds. The shader, core count and the memory type used remains the same (96 shader and DDR3)

Yes I would also suggest that you get Dell XPS 15 with Intel Core i5 2410M and Nvidia GT525M.

Well Dude,

I suggest you to go for XPS 15 if you are Not Concerned about:

1) Its Bulky and Thick Dimensions

2) Rather Short Battery Life with 6Cell

3) Carrying a Heavy Block in your backpack..

4) Lack of Proper Airflow if you are going for 6-cell ( I Use it on desk and have to keep a book at the bottom end to elevate it so as to lower temp. Else it would go to 85 on slight usage.)

I know this more, cause I own the L501x..

If you can buddy, go for the XPS 15z..

My friend owns a 15R but, I dont think its worth the money dude..

It has an Okayish Screen

PLASTICKY Build. - Very Fragile (My friend had accidentally damaged its side while walking and now the side got dented)

No Back-lit keyboard - you seriously need one if you are typing on the go.

Good Battery life on 9 Cell- My friend tops 5Hrs on it with His Radeon Graphics turned off

A quite wide dimensions - If you are using on Desk, its fine.. A big No if travelling

For your Usage mate, I suggest you to wait and go for the 14z

Else, for now, go for the 13z
