y is my ip banned on torrent?

Mininova says my ip is banned when i try to upload a torrent.
I never posted a comment on that site nor did i upload anythin there uptil now,so how come?
Is this something to do with youtele's dynamic ips?
 
Seems so...sometimes mininova really messes up with Indian IPs. Try TOR (Vidalia as it is known now), with Privoxy. use Foxyproxy Add On to FF 3.0.5. See if the problem is resolved.

NO. TOR is not for P2P or torrents at all,..u will only end up crippling the TOR network and getting banned from there also.

mininova might have blocked your ips because of low upload rate (not sure about this :S) if indeed mininova has blocked all of you telecom's ips. you can try and download from another public tracker.i had this issue earlier,..demonoid had blocked all of BSNL's ips some time back,..but it did unblock them after some time. in the mean time,..i used mininova,TPB,.no harm done.

Misunderstood......I did not ask him to download the whole torrent using the TOR network, but to log in Mininova using TOR and download the .torrent file only. As now a days torrent files are not clubbed with ip address but with a passkey so there should not be no problem in downloading the contents through normal Indian IP.

Furthermore Mininova is an open public tracker and does not have anything to do with upload rate and does not keep any record of that as such.
