http://www.techenclave.com/graphic-cards/7600gt-not-working-110118.html#post804738

I am looking at 2 worthy contestants

audioengine A2 or MX5021

or should i get a klipsch...

I listen to heavy bass with harsh vocals, industrial and hip-hop at times and i dont have a sound card rite now.is it really required???

Anyways i got time till i get my next paychk(which is tiny btw:@ )...suggestions???

hip hop = lots of bass = A2's ruled out

if you crave for the bass, check out the logitech Z2300 :D

The MX isn't going to sound good with that kind of music. The sub will lose control. The AE2s will fare even worse.

I've not heard the Logitechs, but enough members here have and if they say the bass is 'good' then it surely must be. If you're a basshead, then that's the way to go.

Another possibility is to get a locally made set of tower speakers and an amp. It IS possible in that budget, at least in Mumbai and Calcutta, and will probably be the best bet for lots of bass and 'harsh' vocals (I have no idea what you mean by that, I assume you like a bright and forward sound).

Thanks for all your feedback...:hap2:

but somebody here was sayin that z2300 is more of boom than bass...that concerns me.i want speakers not air blower esp whn my landlord lives one floor below:P

what is that you guys have it against bose.i saw one poor guy gettin ripped apart when he was trying to post a review for companion 3

sound card needed?

@sangram:i listen to tactical sekt, hocico, amduscia etc...

say if i pick one...whats my best option to buy...order online or scavenge sp road?

How much are you willing to spend at max. If u listen to heavy metal, MX does a pretty damn good job.

budget <10k

At first, I wanted to go for a2.

then you guys said when bass matters, its better to go for z2300 or promedia gmx. now ive hrd mixed reviews on z2300 and so promedia seems to be the best bet.

how much is promedia?
