Completed Horizon Zero Dawn (PC).

Took my time with this game. The ending levels became really tedious for me with all the climbing and Tomb Raider-esque jumps across gaps in the rocky terrain. Plus discovering all the caves became very monotonous because they were all similar and just littered with different Audio/ Text logs (yes, I patently heard them all while playing).
The story is what kept me going in the game.

Yes will pick it up but not right now. Not to keen on killing robots/ mechs immediately. I know a lot of people enjoyed HZD a whole lot but somehow I didn't. If it wasn't for the story that kept me hooked I would have probably not completed it at all. The combat and terrain hopping got pretty boring for me towards the middle of the game. I kept doing Errands, Side Quests between the main quests to keep things as fresh as possible but still.

Haha... yes now that I will definitely play but plan is in October when I will be stationed for a month at home with no traveling and long 14 hour flights. Want to give my undivided attention to that game when I play it. Will send my GF back to the US as well. Don't want any distractions whatsoever! :D

I still need to decide on what to pick up next...

Started Mafia: Definitive Edition (PC) a couple of days ago.

So nostalgic to play this. Played the original game more than 2 decades ago. Currently I'm stuck on the in-famous race in the "Fairplay" mission... will take me a few tries to clear it for sure, LoL!

I got so nostalgic that it lead me to dig up the original Mafia (PC version) game box and discs again from my old video games collection! I had bought it some 20 years ago in London from a GAME store outlet:

Back then the physical copy came with the manual and other goodies!

Man seeing this reminded me about the gta san andreas pc copy I had. By some miracle 10 year old me found it in a Landmark Store sitting on the pc game shelf back in 2012 or 13. Had all the maps and manuals too! Wish I still kept it but got lost shifting houses (or maybe it was even thrown in the dustbin lol)

Great game. Played it around the same time i was playing san andreas ( my fav) long time ago.
If you haven't played it, mafia 2 is great too. Some might disagree but it was more memorable for me with a perfect ending if you are invested a bit in it.

This was such a treat! Played it after so long and the remake is really well done. The story, setting, characters... what a masterpiece. Loved it back in 2002 as a college sophomore and now in my early mid-life this hits even more because of some of the in-game dialogues holding even more meaning and hitting harder.

P.S. This video shows a comparison between the original game and the remake:
