On iOS, it will be the device account that is used for Apple Music, so may be this option is fine for those using Apple Music on Android. Personal purchases will also need to be approved by the Family manager, so it can be a bit of a hassle.

YouTube Premium includes Music Premium, not sure if you have tried it yet then.

I don't think so, personal iOS app store purchase / other apple service subscription possible by just buying Apple Gift card from Amazon.
Also now Amazon Pay service (not the UPI) also integrated Apple iOS Balance / Gift Card purchase.

I’m using Apple music with group sharing since last year October, though it is my 2nd Apple ID as I also have confusion. In that sub I use Apple Music in one iPad and two Android phone....though I didn't purchase anything yet.

If required I can also provide screenshot of the settings section of the iPad where it proves balance add possible.

Yeah, in the past when I was part of an actual family group, I couldn't make purchases with my own credit card which was irritating as it would always request approval from the family parent to use their card. If loading each Apple account separately with its own balance and using it for purchases without the parent's approval is possible now, then it is great.
