Meaning to assemble a AMD X2 3600 with MSI K9NGM2 ,160 GB (7200 RPM), KINGSTON DDR2 1 GB, 16 X SONY DRU830A , I am looking for a Cabinet with power supply, will not over clock the rig- but run it stock 10 to 5. Today, in NP Delhi, i came across a Zebronics Gaming Cabinet with a 400 W Power supply- Bijlee for Rs. 1560 incl. VAT- Cabinet has USB + Audio, Duct +led fan + PCI Vent & is capacious. I would love to buy an Antec- but those are too high for me- any inputs on this brand!! Somebody must have used these for comps. Urgent pl.

thats a very good cabinet ..... a new design i guess ..... if u are on onboard then i think that PSU wud be fine ...........

I would suggest , that you ask them to subtract the cost of the psu which is for around 500.

Then buy at a powersafe 400/450W (1k-1.5k). This would ensure that even if you do upgrade a little bit, power supply wont stop you from doing so. Also a good powersupply is always recommended

first ask how much is a new local 400w psu, after that u tell them to deduct the same amount. this what i did actually last year, i cae back the 400w for 400 and a pin drive for 1.5k and bought a power safe 400w.

Ask them to exchange the generic 400 W to 400 W Plus, that'll be able to hold a 6600 GT or 7300 GT along with your current setup.

And yeah, the cabinet is really well built, Its same as SLB (Super Lan Boy) in material and thickness.

If any of you guys went to the Reality Tour 07 - Chennai you must have seen it.

.. I only have one image of the chassis.

Wots the price of the antibiotic in mumbai without the psu?

Btw, i really think these guys at zeb need to get more creative with the cabinet names..i mean who on earth wud name a cabinet jhansi, bijlee etc(sounds more like tangewaali!! ) on one hand and then london, newyork, hongkong and wait a minute..octopus!!:O I just hope it doesnt grab u in the middle of the night..:P

Isnt the default PSU included with cabbies the 400W Plus itself? (atleast thats what i gather from the Zebronics.net website)

Or did you mean to refer to the Platinum series? - since that seems the next higher model.

I have been doing a lot of mulling & search on this subject of GOOD but INEXPENSIVE Computer Cabinet and Power supply, specially after having a real heart to heart talk with our friend Amarbir Dhillon of Lynx Chandigarh. It seems that the real culprit for major number of hardware failures is the sub spec. power supply bundled wth most Cabinets in Indian Market. I have decided to go with his suggestion for Coolermaster Elite 330 (RC-330) Cabinet- which has a Tool-Free mechanical design for quick assembly and maintenance 120mm fans in the front and rear to give your PC the best ventilation while maintaining silent cooling solution and best of course is bundled Cooler Master newly released eXtreme Power 380W all for Rs. 3363. This cabinet conforms to Intel standards for cooling.

The dealers most of the time play around with the PSUs, they'd even offer an iball PSU for a Navtech Cabinet, so you gotta be sure of what you get.

If you name Bijlee as Electra would the cabinet change or the quality change or your perception change ? If so... why ?

I too checked man, Nehru Place, N.D. is getting flooded with all types of Zebronics Cabinets. Don't know about the power supply that dealers are providing.

Naah man, none of it wud change for sure but there shud be some sensibilities when it comes to naming a pc peripheral...now had they named a mixer /grinder bijlee, nobody wud have raised an eye..but when u are making a b**ch rig n u've got like all the bells n whistles from the best companies in the world..and cabinet named bijlee wud definitely make a person go aaarrghhh!!:P Just my view..no offense intended..:)

Btw, i wanna shift my msi 965 neo and c2d e6300 to a roomier cabinet(currently have an Iball workhorse)..talkin of server cabinets, which one do u think fits the bill and around 3-4k.. ?? I dont have much idea about the server cabinets, but is there any compatibilty issue when fitting a normal atx mobo and psu into the cabinet?

Totally agree, one cabinet is called Shivaji.

Then why don't you change your nick to Dhurandhar Bhatawdekar? :P

I think your choice of Coolermaster as a brand for PSU and cabinet is a good decision.

Poor PSU is the major problem for gradual degradation of electronic components. Erratic and over/under voltage conditions stress fragile components. Investing in a good PSU before a cabinet is a good idea. I would trust only Antec and CoolerMaster. (OCZ, Seasonic, Seventeam etc, I don't think these can be procured here in India).

Good air flow is a must in a cabinet. Another requirement for many is the option to fit in more HDDs/optical devices. I think Antec, Coolermaster and Chieftec and Zebronics are decent brands but not all cabinets in these brands are alike. You may want to check if someone has the same cabby that you intend to purchase.

There have been unfavourable reviews of the Sony DRU-830A. It is a rebadged Samsung drive. Samsung is very bad in the optical drive dept. You might want to read some other threads recommending a good optical drive.

If I had the chance I would change a lot of things lots of places. I am just trying to understand the consumer psyche here.

If Bijli was kept as a name in France, people wont mind it and when guys in India would get it from the other part of the world, they would accept it. But, since the name has been kept by an Indian company its unacceptable. I know and do agree that the name doesnt suit the image, but that question still remains, would changing the name change your perception ?

3-4 K I guess if you can make a deal on Jamaica, it'll suit you. The last info that I got, that they're coming up with the side transparent Jamaica I dont think its available anywhere as of now but it soon should be. Or you can also try Marco, which isnt as roomy but the different PSU mounting position cleans the clutter alot.
