PC Peripherals Zebronics UBS 2.0 to All-in-1 Card Reader cannot read 4GB SDHC card

Hi guys,

My 2GB Toshiba SD card works fine with the Zebronics UBS 2.0 to All-in-1 Card Reader but it fails to recognize the 4GB Transcend SDHC card.

Having to get it read through the Laptop reader slot everytime. This is highly irritating.

Anyone faces same issue? :huh:

Any fixes for this issue as I don't want to go for the easiest solution yet i.e., buying a new reader.
 
That's probably coz the Card Reader is not meant to read/write SD HC Cards.

There is a difference between SD cards and SD HC Cards.

While SD HC Card Readers will Read/Write SD Cards, only SD Card Readers cannot Read/Write SD HC Cards.

Which means SD HC Card readers are backward compatible but SD Card readers are not forward compatible. The only solution would be to buy a new card reader.
 
Have the same problem with my Verbatim 4GB SDHC card. Works on my laptop slot, not on external card reader. Bought a new card reader, works fine :)
 
look for SDHC logo on card reader package for final confirmation .Many cheap card readers still uses old SD only chipsets !!!!
