I'm currently using ZoneAlarm 5.5 and I think it's really awesome. I will definitely try out Version 6, but only when it's finally released. Not a good idea to test security software, you're putting your PC at risk if there are some big holes in them. :p

Anyway, my ZoneAlarm has blocked 4381 intrusions so far. Is that bad? ;)
 
Hey My Zone alarm was a waste....it sometimes used to block me from going on the internet. ..... lol.....
Anyway what that a Problem with my settings or do ya guys also have the same problem? I have SP2 does that have anything to do with it?
When I uninstall it, then it works well...

Heel boy I guess its SP2 prob....Sp2 hasnt had the best of reviews so far....Most of the users who used Sp2 juz uninstalled or formatted and went back to Sp1.....

Cons : Slows down system n Net due to its new firewall...
User opinions from another site....hop I can do this mods....can I ?

"For everyone else this SP is a waste of time. It has a firewall...that doesnt even block outbound traffic. It pops up with continiously annoying warnings about updating Windows etc, although you can turn these off. It is a massive install that doesnt do anything new really, and it probably will slow down your PC. If you already have a firewall and anti-virus software, there's no point in this at all. Unless you want the IE pop-up blocker, but why are you still using IE?! It is also known to cause 3rd software to break although I didnt come across this. I have uninstalled it as I have no use for it and it was just an annoyance to me."

Firewall? I like the program access options in Zone Alarm thank you. Popups? I use Firefox thank you. I can't believe how much space SP2 takes up for these feaures. Can mess with your programs to boot. I will stick with my SP1 until the bitter end with my virus-free, spyware-free, popup-free and firewalled computer. "

These r just 2.....cant put all of them...hehe....

The Sp2 firewall probably crashes Zone Alarm....@ firewalls or 2 Anit Virus are nvr gud !

Me again....ZA 6 seems pretty gud with the anti spy ......If the suite has a very competitve and effective anti virus, anti spy and popup blocker...it cud be a hot seller....

My Comp Used to crash every 15 days or so and had a lot of bugs and Virii and what not on the comp with XP SP1 and i had all sorts of protection on it......then i said what the hell, i will go for SP 2 if that works well and good, if not then back to 98,

and what do ya know, My comp stabilized...Its been working properly and what do ya know, i am on the net almost 24 hrs....i use P2P and all the protection i have is Microsoft Antipy.....

I guess my comp is Crazy?...anyone else with the same thing maybe?

So did u juz install Sp2 over Sp1 or did u go in for a format or sumthing in the lines like restore ?

Mic Ant Spy is gud but not the best.....
The reason for ZA not workin is the clash of 2 Firewalls... try disablin the Mic firewall...

I dont hink its gonna help too much tho...

Regardin SP2 -- Watever works for U stic with it dont listen to others......

Either way....
Wat browser r u using ? If its Mozilla then u have got a strange prob....If its IE then nowonder...

IE even has a softie name ALEAXA tht monitors ur surfin habit....Thts juz the tip of iceberg...

Let me think it over as my brain is clogged @ 2.33am ..hehe...
Lets hop some one else comes up with sumthing .....
