About no new game ready drivers for 7xx series and lower?
I really wasn't aware of that before nor was it why I sold it, I don't think it should make any difference as this card can't run latest AAA games either way

It's best for older and eSport games which should work as it always did

Agreed, but there are some stupid game devs who even on some A and AA games implement a driver version check even though it may run fine with older drivers.
Anyways it's still a decent card to play anything AAA until 2017-18 or so at low and almost all other games and you still provided a good price given the conditions.
